Evgeniy was born in 1966 in the town of Tumen' in Siberia, Russia. He graduated from Tumen' Industrial Institute as engineer-geophysics. After three years of working in the sphere of geology he chose a different profession of Fine Art. He became advertisement designer.
From childhood he was interested in drawing. For the last fifteen years he has been professionally occupied with paintings and graphics. His first experiences with pencil, ink and paper were gradually replaced by canvases in oil and in the recent period appeared watercolors.
Lack of special education doesn't prevent Evgeniy doing paintings that combine the elements of landscape realism of the yards with the architectural detail of the back streets of Prague Old Town. The classical still life is together with the modem styles of the twentieth century expressionism and cubism.
From 1988 when his first picture appeared and until now Evgeniy created more than 700 graphics and paintings. Since 1989 the painter has been exhibiting his works in personal and joint exhibitions.
For the last five years Evgeniy has lived and worked in Prague, Czech Republic. He collaborates with galleries and publishing houses in Prague and Ostrava.
In 2000 the Pierol publishing house released a book of his line drawings for children to color. In 2001 the painter won the first place in an Illustration Competition organized by Belgian publishing house Wallonic-Bruxelles. A significant event in Evgeniy's painting career was his first personal exhibition in Czech Republic, which took place in autumn 2002 in Ostrava. The exhibition was organized with the assistance of the Spolek Mlejn painters group.
