Maja was born in 1969 in Tbilisi, Georgia.
After finishing secondary school she enrolled in Nikoladze I Art School in 1984, Tbilisi, Georgia, where she was studying Fine Art during four years.
In 1998 she was enrolled in State Art Academy, Faculty of Fine Art, Tbilisi, Georgia.
