Alexander SHIBNIOV

Alexander Shibniov was born on January 2, 1962 in Minsk, Belarus. He comes from a family of fine art painters and he is the fourth generation of artists. Alexander studied at the Minsk school of art and graduated in fine art as well as applied arts. He started his career as decorator of public buildings but soon moved towards fine art only.
His compositions of great purity express the idea of a spiritual harmony between man and his environment. They are made with tempera (an ancient method with natural pigments add egg yolk) and are done on wood. His technique gives his paintings a special sense and represents a timeless and poetic piece.
In his compositions, Alexander has capture the beauty of the most simple things that surround us. His pieces do not have heroes, but they inspire peace.
